Drawing inspiration from Britpop icons like Blur, the intricate soundscapes of progressive rock artists such as Steven Wilson, they deliver an energetic, dynamic, and unmistakably original sound that never fails to captivate.
Our Story
The band started in 2022 at the BIMM Music Institute.
Their vision was to fuse Britpop with the timeless sounds of '70s and '80s classic rock.
The result is a fresh, innovative sound, blending these influences with elements of Progressive rock and Funk.
Our Name
The name The A66 derives from the road of the same name in Northern England, which in part follows the course of the Roman road from Scotch Corner to Penrith.
It runs from east of Middlesbrough in North Yorkshire to Workington in Cumbria.
